Cop car lights flooded the streets of this neighborhood Tuesday evening. Police say two suspects are behind a big time criminal operation with  a novel twist. They're suspected of  targeting Redbox DVD vending machines.

"They would take a piece of paper, photocopy the DVD or the game and they would place it back in [the case]," said Sergeant Tim Tietjen with Fresno Police.

They then return it to a Redbox kiosk. Police were able to catch the crooks selling the games on craigslist.
So far, they've stolen $20,000 worth.  It's a trend that's affecting locals.

"Picking out a game for my wife and it came out and it was a piece of paper. We called Redbox, they had us return it," said a Redbox user.

Police say the crew is involved in all kinds of illegal activity. Drugs, guns, a stack of stolen credit cards and ID's. A 10-month-old baby was even placed in child protective services.

"We searched the crib and there was marijuana in close proximity where the baby could have eaten it," said Sgt. Tietjen.

A neighbor we spoke with who didn't wish to be identified says he didn't have a clue what was going on next door.

"Yeah that's a shame. It's always a shame when a kid's involved," said an anonymous neighbor.

Officers say Ruben Boyd and Sara King are just two of the crew members they're out to arrest.

"They sell drugs, they'll sell guns, they steal cars and they'll do burglaries," said Sgt. Tietjen.

Those arrested face a laundry list of charges.
