The defense argued that all character witnesses prove that Megan Martzen is a person of good character and did not kill Ella Vanleeuwen.
Her attorney states that no one ever mentioned that Martzen was not good with children including Ella's parents in which they both took the stand in the past saying they trusted Megan with their kids and the kids loved being with Megan.
Another character witness the defense emphasized was the Clovis Police who testified for Martzen and said he trusts Martzen with his own child and said he never saw any red flags about her.
A children's pastor also testified for Martzen claiming "she is pretty amazing, and all the kids love her."
CBS47 legal analyst Carl Faller who says the fact that Martzen testified helps her case.
Prosecution argues that sometimes good people can do bad things, but the defense claims law enforcement wasn't fair in its investigation, and never looked for evidence of innocence on Martzen, but instead focused only on evidence of guilt.
Jury should reach a verdict by Monday.
