Shattered glass and bullet holes remain Monday afternoon after 56-year-old Xia Lee was gunned down in her duplex near Hedges and Recreation Avenues.
The violence left a neighbor, Pal Siong, frightened and concerned.
"It’s scaring me, I'm shaking," said Siong.
Siong moved in about a month ago and says he is considering leaving. He was next door when Lee's duplex came under fire.
"I heard gun shots so I opened the blinds and saw a black car run that way," said Siong.
Police say the gunfire came from outside. The suspects shot into the duplex, fatally wounding Lee before speeding away in a black car.
"We don't think it was accidental, possibly intentional, but we're still trying to get that information," said Lt. Phil Cooley of the Fresno Police Department.
Janice Blagen has worked at her brother's specialty auto body business across the street for over 30 years and says she has never seen anything like this.
"There's never been any intimidation or any problems. We all feel safe around here," said Blagen.
