Gun owners across the nation took part in Gun Appreciation Day today, as a way to oppose President Obama's recent gun proposal.
Locally gun supporters took to local firing ranges and gun shops to show their support.
Gun owners also came together to discuss the president's propsal and what they say are misconceptions about guns.
"The number of these mass shootings we have and gun violence overall is no different then what it was 20 years ago," Jacob Belemjian, manager of the Firing Line said.
Because of the recent proposals, gun sales have risen across the nation.
