The Chinese cemetery in Fresno has been renovated as a way to honor some of Fresno's first Chinese immigrants.
The cemetery at Teilman and Belmont had been subject to vandals and over time they ruined much of the cemetery.
Today leaders of the Chinese community came together to remember their ancestors who built much of Fresno's Chinatown.
"Our goal here is to clean up and be able to pay homage to our ancestors. I got three daughters and their great, great, grandfather is the signer of this property here," Dr. Stanley Louie said.
Volunteers from Fresno, Clovis and Selma participated in the effort.
