One person has been treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire late this afternoon.
It broke out at a home in Clovis on Dewitt and Bellaire.
The fire started outside the house and spread in through a window and into the attic.
One person was inside the home when firefighters arrived and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Fire fighters say there were no working smoke detectors in the house.
"We'd like to remind people everybody, take the opportunity, make sure your fire detectors are working. That early detection is key to limit the spread of damage of the fire and maybe even save your life," Ryan Michaels, Captain with Fresno County Fire said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
