The shooting happened Saturday at the Fast and Friendly Mini-Mart, which is at the corner of 14th Avenue and Front Street in Armona.

Kings County Sheriff’s Deputies say two of the people shot have been treated and released from the hospital.  However, it’s unknown how bad the injuries are to the third person.

Investigators say a Hispanic man in his late teens to early 20s got into an argument with three other young men inside the store.  The three guys got into their car, and then the suspect pulled out a gun.  The driver tried to run him over and that’s when the suspect fired several shots into the vehicle hitting all of them.

Witnesses gave deputies good directions as to where the suspect went, which was about a half mile up 14th Ave. To New Testament Baptist Church.

SWAT and K-9 teams were brought in and spent hours searching all of the buildings, but could not find him.  The dogs did pick up a scent and discovered some clothing the suspect was wearing.

Detectives say they have an idea who they are looking for.

“In my opinion it seems to be a solvable case.  Based on what they’ve uncovered so far, it sounds like it’s a solvable case,” said Robert Thayer, Assistant Kings Co. Sheriff.

Investigators could use your help your help as well.  If you know anything about this case, call the Kings Co. Sheriff’s Dept. at (559) 582-3211, ext. 2720.
