Instead of collecting gifts on his birthday, one Valley teen decided to give back.
Miles Alexander and his mother organized a 5-K race, all to benefit Fresno's Poverello House.
The race took place Saturday morning at Woodward Park in Fresno.
It was Miles' birthday and he got friends and family to help him raise money for the homeless. "I've been running for a long while but it feels good when you give back to other people," said Miles.
Miles says he's been concerned about the homeless ever since his mother took him to help the less fortunate when he was a young boy.
