We're sorry, all circuits are busy.
Callers to the 911 line are hearing an alarming message,” We’re sorry, all circuits are busy.”
Keith Eubanks' father in law recently had a heart attack and he had to personally pick him up and rush him to the hospital more than 30 miles away.
“We could not get 911. And he even got a hold of the operator, the operator tried to get 911 and they could not get 911,” said Eubanks.
Eubanks says there are a lot of elderly people living in the town and there’s no time to spare when there's an emergency.
“Time is of the essence when somebody's having heart problems,” said Eubanks.
Early this morning the Fresno County Sheriff's Office received a notice that the 911 emergency land line was down.
The emergency line could be reached from a cell phone, but some living here say there's poor reception in the area - including Marilyn Anderson.
“I have to go outside to go use my cell phone because it won't work in my house,” said
“We pay our taxes and these charges are added on our bills,” said
Verizon spokesman says their team was dispatched immediately to find out what caused the problem.
The lines were up and running by Friday evening.
