“It feels good because it just reminds me that people care and it just brings joy,” said 11-year-old Noah.
He has recently admitted into Children's Hospital Central California for a ruptured appendix.
“I had a flu on Thursday and after we thought it was just soreness from throwing up, but it just kept on getting worse,” said Noah.
When Noah's mother isn't at work, she's right by his side at the hospital.
She says a special gift from Saint Nick helps bring a smile to Noah’s face and makes holidays in the hospital brighter.
“It's kind of hard not having him at home with you know, myself and the family and his brother,” said Noah’s mother, Trini Estrada.
Santa, firefighters and law enforcement visited with children and delivered more than 300 gifts.
“The kids having to be in the hospital over the holiday season, it's kind of a bummer for them and when we can make them smile and make them really happy then we're willing do that,” said Captain Michael Gill of the Fresno City Fire Department.
The one thing Noah really wants for Christmas is to feel better soon, but he was happy the jolly guy in red stopped by to pay a visit.
“It just reminds me that people care and it just brings happiness,” said Noah.
Target has been donating the gifts for the last 5 years.
